Why There Has to Be More to Demi and Joe's Break-Up

As we reported yesterday, Joe Jonas and Demi Lovato have broken up after an ever so brief stint as the hot Disney couple. Last night Demi confirmed the split by tweet, but denied that they broke up by phone. That was in response to published reports, that we cited yesterday as saying Joe had his father call Demi to break things off.

However as we think about it, we're not sure it all fits - we think there is more to this story, and here is our evidence:

- E! is sticking to their story that over the past few months Lovato, 17, has become very close with Wilmer Valderama ,30.

- We also ask you, would it really be a happy mutual split (Joe has put out a statement saying it was his decision, not mutual) after all the seemingly upset tweets Lovato sent all weekend long, some have since been deleted off her twitter, however some remain like the one we posted yesterday that read, " After the week I've had, I can PROMISE you I will KILL this show tonight... Get ready for one intense concert." Could the deleted tweets have to do with the power of the mouse ?

- According to Perez Hilton, the POM (Power of the mouse) was definitely at work, controlling the break-up, supposedly telling Demi to come out and deny that Mr. Jonas (as in Joe's father) did the breaking up. Like E!, Perez is standing by his story

One final observation here: we wonder if Disney's reported actions have to do with the fact they may not have been happy behind-the-scenes with Joe and Demi announcing themselves as a couple in the first place - we wonder what kind of effect this will have on future Disney romances?
