Predicting the MTV Movie Awards

Aziz Ansari and the MTV Movie Awards take center stage at the Gibson Amphitheatre in Hollywood tonight at 9/8c, and while it's certainly not the Oscars, this awards show is always fun to watch, and this year should be no exception. Christina Aguliera will perform, as well as Katy Perry and Snoop Dogg who will team up to sing their summer smash, California Gurls. We'll also get a sneak peek at the upcoming third movie in the Twilight Saga: Eclipse, and a preview of the latest Harry Potter flick as well. After the jump, we predict who will be leaving the Gibson later tonight with Golden Popcorn statues.

Best Kiss: Kristen Stewart and Rob Pattinson, The Twilight Saga: New Moon They won last year for Twilight and are the heavy fav's to take the award again this year, however we wouldn't count out the Taylor's - Lautner and Swift - for their Valentine's Day lip-lock.

Best Fight: Sam Worthington vs. Stephen Lang, Avatar
Here's our thinking on this one, a) New Moon isn't nominated in this category, b) fighting isn't a category girls are going to vote for over and over again, and c) Avatar was such a big hit and so well done, it would be an absolute sham if the film went home empty handed.

Best Villian: Tom Felton, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince
Once again, no New Moon nominee here, so what's the next best thing? How about a win for Harry Potter? We have to say Tom certainly deserves it too, he has gotten better and better each movie, and has really transformed himself from a supporting actor to a star over the course of the Potter franchise.

Best WTF Moment: Betty White, The Proposal
She's the second hottest name in the world right now, behind Justin Bieber, and fortunately for her - he's not up for best WTF moment.

Biggest BadAss Star: Channing Tatum
This could go in a few directions, but we're predicting a Channing win because he is definitely the most popular nominee among the girls, and he should do alright with the guys too, thanks in large part to his stint in G.I. Joe.

Best Scare-AS-S**T Performance: Jesse Eisenberg, Zombieland
We have no idea who will win this one, and frankly, most probably don't care, but with it being the MTV Movie Awards and all, we'll give Jesse Eisenberg the distinction of most likely to take the trophy.

Best Breakout Star: Logan Lerman, Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief
We think this one could go three ways, if guys dominate the vote Zach Galifanakis will take home the golden popcron (and probably try to eat it), we also see Gabourey Sidibe having a shot at this, but we're going to give it to Logan Lerman. While Percy Jackon wasn't a monster hit, we think he did enough to endear himself to tween girls everywhere.

Best Female Performance: Kristen Stewart, The Twilight Saga: New Moon
Spolier Alert: If you are not a Twilight fan, you can stop reading this blog post now. We are expecting all the big awards to go to Twilight just like they did last year and just like they will next year and the year after.

Best Male Performance: Rob Pattinson, The Twilight Saga: New Moon
We should have some competition for this one, but that's only because there are two Twilight stars nominated as both R-Pattz and Taylor Lautner are up for the honor. We think Pattz still has the bigger, more rabid fan base, so we're going to give him the edge in this category.

Best Comedic Performance: Sandra Bullock, The Proposal
This is one other category we don't have a great feel for but Sandra Bullock is an awful hot name right now, even if it's not entirely for the best the reasons, plus she will already be there accepting the annual Generation Achievement Award.

Global Superstar: Rob Pattinson, The Twilight Saga: New Moon
It might be close between Rob and his Twilight co-stars, but at the end of the day he's Edward Cullen and he is the Twilight Saga.

Best Film: The Twilight Saga: New Moon
Why bother having four other nominees again? Seems anti-climatic doesn't it?
