13-Year Old Climbs Everest

Now this has nothing to do with entertainment, besides the fact that someone will probably make a movie about it. Earlier today 13-year-old Jordan Romero reached the summit of the world's highest mountain, Mount Everest which is in Nepal and elevates to 29,035 feet above sea level, and in the process became the youngest climber to reeach the summit of the world's highest mountain.

Romero smashed the previous record by three years, as the former youngest climber to reach Everest's summit was a 16-year-old. When Romero reached the top what did he do? He took some pictures and called his mom, saying, "Mom, I'm calling you from the top of the world.'"

Of course, Jordan was no rookie he climbed to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak when he was just 10. Nonetheless, congrats Jordan!
