Taylor Lautner is a Man

Yes, Taylor now has full control over the many millions he's made - but today, as he spends some of that well-earned dough let's take a look back at his childhood, including some facts you may not know!

It started for Taylor in Grand Rapids, Michigan where he lived until he was eleven. Taylor wanted to try the acting thing, so his family got up and headed west. Taylor has said since in media reports the move wasn't too much a problem for his family given his father is an airplane pilot.

Before the acting, there was martial arts. Taylor competed and won national tournaments including this 2003 tournament broadcast on ESPN2.

Taylor's first big gig was in a made-for-tv movie titled, Shadow Fury

Then there was Sharkboy and Lavagirl - who would have ever thought little Sharkboy would become one ripped werewolf?

More followed, Taylor starred in Cheaper by the Dozen 2 (yes, that's hillary duff next to him!)

He also was featured in the short-lived 2008 NBC drama, My Own Worst Enemy

Now, of course, everyone knows him as Jacob Black

With the series' success Taylor has recently covered both GQ and Rolling Stone

And tomorrow, his latest project Valentine's Day opens in theaters
