The box office has been performing well the last couple of weeks with a lot of strong films currently playing. There's of course the phenomenon of Avatar, likely to break the 700 million dollar worldwide mark this weekend, then there were President's Day releases Valentine's Day and Percy Jackson, last week Shutter Island racked in an opening 40 mil, and this week there are two new wide-releases, including one which could challenge Shutter Island for the weekend's top spot. Our Take: Last week we said Scorsese + DiCaprio = Winner. While this week's Willis + Morgan, may not carry the same auto-box-office champ, we've got a feeling Cop Out is going to be a serious success. It has been marketed down our throats during the Olympics and American Idol - and unlike so many movies, the previews atleast make it look good. We're predicting a Shutter Island take down.
